A Picture Story...

The past few months have been a bit of a whirlwind complicated with a myriad of emotions. I've never really been one to indulge in my emotions so it came as a shock toeven myself when I got engulfed in all that was going on or not going on in my life. Wether its family stuff, career worries, Love gained and lost ( which could be a real bitch, trust me , i know) or just being stuck in a rut, i am usually adept at picking myself up usually after one day of whining.

I got my fabulous friend Toyosi to capture this very vulnerable moment because my reasoning was " the only way out of this rut, is through it" . I embraced it and i let it all out during this session and it was quite therapeutic to say the least. Im sure some of you can relate. Enjoy the pictures and quotes below
“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and willcome forth later in uglier ways.”

“I have learned now that while those who speak about one's miseries usually hurt, those who keep silence hurt more.”

“Most things break, including hearts. The lessons of life amount not to
wisdom, but to scar tissue and callus.”

“Was I bitter? Absolutely. Hurt? You bet your sweet ass I was hurt.Who doesn't feel a part of their heart break at rejection.
You ask yourself every question you can think of, what, why, how come, and then your sadness turns to anger. That's my favorite part.
It drives me,feeds me, and makes one hell of a story.”
Jennifer Salaiz
“i must feel this emotion
with my whole being
and as it sweeps me off my feet
enjoy the sensation of falling
falling endlessly into the arms
of no lover”

“The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you that you love, well, that's just fabulous.”- Carrie Bradshaw , SATC
